Session Court Summons Jawhar Sircar

Jawhar  Sircar, former CEO Prasar Bharati has been summoned by District & Sessions Judge, Haveri, Karnataka in a criminal defamation case filed against Ms. Prerna Sharma, her husband Arvind Kumar and others by Dr. Mahesh Joshi Addl DG-Doordarshan for a fabricated Sexual Harassment matter that according to some saw him losing battle for post of DG Doordarshan. The summons issued after ascertaining facts and reasons found cognizance in the open Court in case no CC 214/2016 dated August 5, 2016 for personal appearance of former CEO in criminal proceedings under Section 120-B.  (Criminal conspiracy)

It may be reminded that High Court Delhi earlier found all allegations against Dr. Joshi devoid of merits and evidence and dismissed the matter. There were reports earlier that it was part of a settled conspiracy to deny Dr. Joshi, a recipient of Nadoja Award highest in the state of Karnataka in the field of arts and culture, the position of Director General Doordarshan. The proceedings to be started soon shall unravel other aspects and hidden players in the sordid conspiracy. Sources inform of telephone records amongst certain players are under investigations and one might see some more names getting entangled in the case.

Meanwhile there is air of relief and comfort in entire Prasar Bharati over the exit of Jawhar Sircar who somehow turned a pariah and one of the most detested CEOs ever. It is learnt that after a Clerk refused to entertain his application for transfer allowance of around three lakhs on the plea that he did not complete the term Sircar is reported to have shot letter withdrawing resignation !  Alerted by this, the Government immediately relieved him and put an end to the matter since for long he was an obstacle in getting things done.

The Court appearance and any decision thereafter shall be of immense interest in Prasar Bharati and one can hear commotion well.
